I-G-G-Y

 Iggy Azalea
The Rave - Milwaukee, WI

Iggy, you're a huge babe.

If I'm being honest with everyone, this wasn't the best show I have ever been to. Whether it was the fact that the crowd was a bunch of high school girls or that I found she didn't put forth as much of an effort as I would have liked, I was a little let down by this show.
Iggy put on a set just shy of one hour, performing every song she has released to date. She seemed almost slightly uncomfortable on stage, making it awkward to watch. The sound inside The Ballroom @ The Rave that night was aggressively loud. I can't really tell you if it's because I was mushed between a bunch of shrieking cheerleaders or because her tracks were playing just a smidgen too loud.
Despite the strange audience, and unenthusiastic Iggy, this girl is freaken hot. What puts together the profile of Iggy Azalea was not held back. Her extravagant costumes, and incredibly tiny waist paired with a  voluptuous ass was definitely on display, giving me at least something to look at.
I will definitely go see Iggy again, hoping that I caught her on an off night because I am such a fan of her music.
With all that out of the table, The Rave was an incredible venue to host such a HUGE crowd of kids. The Ballroom is such a special room that she managed to completely sell out. I had a chance to wonder around during her opener "DJ WIZZ KIDD" and had the pleasure of meeting a lot of the venue staff and security. The team that stands in front of The Rave is killer. Everyone was super welcoming of a lonely Canadian girl, making me feel right at home in a totally different city!
Huge shout out to The Rave staff & Security!

Next time, Iggy. Next time.

The After Hours Tour hits Chicago!!

October 11, 2014 @ Riviera Theatre, Chicago
Diana Gates

Let me just start off by saying, this was my first show in Chicago since I decided to move here just over a month ago. It may be harder than usual to find words to express how special this night was for me, but here goes:

I have had the pleasure of getting to know the guys in Down With Webster on a personal level over the years of living in Toronto! The best way to describe this group is recklessly talented, highly entertaining, and completly down to earth. I was beyond excited when I was made aware that this would be my first show after moving to Chicago from our shared hometown of Toronto. This night was the transition for me from one chapter to another. Being able to see a band that I have seen countless times in Toronto, made Chicago feel just like home that night. It was the perfect balance of something new and something comfortable!
I had arrived at the Riviera Theatre and immediately decieded to explore this incredible venue. The Riviera Theatre was built in the 1920s and that was completely evident by the incredible architecture. It is a three floor venue with a massive balcony and peak a boo pockets throughout the entire second floor. Needless to say this place was huge, and not only that it was packed! Down With Webster was out supporting Time Flies and Kapslap on The After Hours Tour, and Chicago just happened to be SOLD OUT!
Down With Webster to the stage first and completely blew my mind. Let me say it again, I have seen this band perform over 20 times and can not express the energy and intensity they brought to the stage that night. The audience was so receptive of what they were putting out there, it was a definitely a sight to see. After talking with a handfull of fans, I  had come to the conclusion that not a lot of the audience had ever heard of Down With Webster before and despite this fact, the audience seemed to love it. The guys make such a strong effort to engage the crowd, and on that night they had everyone in that room on their feet and dancing like you wouldn't believe. I was not only having a great time, seeing an incredible band but so fearsly proud of them and their growth that I've seen over the last 6 years.
Not only did they put on a flawless show, but played such an important part in my transition to this new chapter of my life. I want to thank the band for allowing me to be apart of that night which will definitely go down in my history books.
Pat Gillett, Marty Martino, Bucky, Camm Hunter, & Tyler Armes

Thank you to Down With Webster, Riviera Theatre, and CHICAGO!!!!!!

Imagine Dragons - Night Visions Tour

Imagine Dragons
Night Visions Tour
Echo Beach
July 29

Imagine Dragons will be back for an outdoor concert on July 29th at Echo Beach. This outdoor venue is perfect for this band as they have a stage presence that has the ability to blow the roof off any venue. We are beyond excited to see them for the first time, we have been fans since long before the release of their most recent album Night Visions. The Las Vegas band played the Sound Academy earlier this year on February 27th  and we heard nothing but good things which makes this show a must see this summer. We know you all agree so make sure to buy your tickets (available online here) and join us at Echo Beach for what we think will be one of the best highlights of Summer 2013.

FOREVER HALLOWEEN

ALBUM RELEASE.
The Maine - Forever Halloween
hits stores on June 4th.

The Maine is about to release their 4th studio album titled, Forever Halloween. The album will be available to the public on June 4th, also the start date of their upcming 8123 National Tour. The album is being released through an American independent label called 8123. The guys kept us involved through the entire process of the making of the album by posting vlogs on their youtube page. I think we can expect a mature, dark, indie rock album here. A development of their previously released PIONEER record.

3 days.

YNG FVS. T Mills - TORONTO.

WE ONLY LIKE IT IF ITS LOUD.
PUMP UP
PUMP UP
THE VOLUME.

Let's be honest here, it was about time we saw T Mills on a proper stage in this city. T Mills passed through Toronto last month playing @ The Sound Academy with Sammy Adams. The show was electric. The stage set with a set of  LED lit giant  letters, T and M on either side of the stage and a light show that told a story all on its own.  The show was incomparable to any show he has done here before. T Mills is evolving into a serious competitor in the music scene with new collaborations with Redfoo of LMFAO.
T Mills is set to release a new full length studio album this year and has already announced a summer 2013 tour with one hell of a line up. T Mills will be back in Toronto on August 13th @ The Opera House with We The Kings, The Ready Set, and Breathe Carolina.
So, if you missed this last show at The Sound Academy I suggest you get your hands on a set of tickets for this upcoming show... We have a big feeling this is the last time we will get to see him on such an intimate level.

P.S. T Mills just released a limited amount of limited edition snapbacks last night at midnight.
